As a privately owned company, we understand the need to keep costs down while operating efficiently. We constantly strive to keep the value of our products at the highest quality and provide the best possible service to our customers. However, from time to time, it is necessary to adjust our pricing or implement surcharges to compensate for the increase of expenses.

An example of this is a readily known fact that fuel costs are increasing. Over the past few years, we have seen the price of fuel increase significantly. This increase has come to a point that is it no longer absorbable into our current pricing structure. After a careful review of industry practices, we have decided that the best way to handle this excessive cost is to impose a temporary fuel surcharge on our services. This surcharge will begin immediately. The transportation industry has widely used fuel surcharges to help compensate for the added expense.

We will be using a calculation based on the weekly retail averages from the Central Atlantic Region “Weekly Retail On-Highway Diesel Prices”, published by the U. S. Energy Information Administration. Pricing is published on Monday, the adjustment will take affect the following Monday at 12:01 am. This report is publicly available at the following website: https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/. This index is objective and widely recognized in the trucking and transportation industries. If the average decreases, the surcharge will also decrease.

We not only value your business and look forward to providing the best quality products and services possible, but we appreciate your understanding and patience as we all wait for the fuel prices to drop.
